A new outlook and the Rock and Mineral show

OK, so after my last post I have tried to start remembering some of the positives. Here are a few:

I truly have the best set of girlfriends a girl could ask for. And YES we definitely need a girls night out and SOON. They have all opened up and let me know they understand what I was going through. And have sent positive feelings and words my way.

I have a great husband. He may not get what I am asking for the first time but he will. Jeremy has stepped up to the plate and has help clean up the house when he gets home from work, he also has given the kids there bath every night and has made sure the dishes were put in the dishwasher at night. He has also made sure to call me once a day during the day to just say "HI" and if needed let me vent to him for a minute or two or even ten sometime.

I have awesome kids. Brody and Allie have been asking to play games more as a family so we actually turn the TV OFF and play a game together before bedtime. Yes, I even let them sleep in our room this weekend. More so I made a little bed next to my side of the bed for Brody to come lay down on if he starts to get his bad dreams back. We have been spending time reading together which is helping everyone wind down before bed.

It has been hard the past couple of weeks or I could say even months but with a little bit of faith and having a great group of friends cheering for you, I know I can make it through.

This week as been a wonderful week. The kids went back to school and are loving it. I got back in the groove again with my daycare kids (boy, I missed them). One of my dearest friends came back to town, sure missed you Taffee. I actually started to chill out a bit with the whole cleaning the house ALL day. Saturday, I took the kids to the Rock and Mineral show down at a local college in town. We had such a good time and the kids came back with lots of samples. I will write more about this later. My parents took the kids for about 4 hours on Saturday, giving Jeremy and I some time to reflect on the week and have a nice lunch together. I have also picked up another family to start watching after school. It really works out, they have a girl that is Allie's age and a boy that is Brody's age. Perfect playmates, Hopefully. Giving all that has been accomplished this week I think we've done good (as Allie would say).

Here a couple of pictures from the Rock and Mineral show at MCC.
This is just as we were entering to the rock show.
The first stop was a place where the kids could shuffle threw sand looking for fossils. As they found some they would mark it off their list. The were able to keep 2 of the four fossils they found.
Poor Boden was hating the sun in his face. He was such a good sport.
Brody was so into all of the different kinds of rocks they had there. He was telling me all of the names by the end of the day. Boy, does his little mind retain information. I think it was a little over Allie's head but she was a trooper. I was surprised how many different kinds of a animals they could make out of rocks. Just a couple more snapshots.
These are some of the animals out of rock.
The week will be busy and Saturday we are heading up to Prescott. We are hoping for some snow, if not in Prescott we will drive up to Flagstaff and make sure we can find some. Thanks Tina for teaching my lesson on Sunday. Wish us luck.

Hi Kelly....I must say that I just LOVE your header picture! I read your blog post from before, and I think that if you ever feel down again, all you have to do is look at that picture, and see all the happiness that emanates from it, I know it will brighten up your mood tremedously! The love from your family shows so much in that picture, and the love from our Heavenly Father emanates from the beautiful temple behind you! You are such a sweet lady and I hope that I can continue getting to know you better! Sarah

I know things are probably still "tiresome"...but I'm glad you seem to have gotten a new outlook! I must say-I was feeling "tired" also...and I too have seen a new outlook-but I think it has to do with my kids being back at school! :) Am I the only one who dreads the breaks off of school? Probably! Wish I could make it to girls night out! I'll be thinking of you!

Kristen, I sooooo dread any break from school the kids have, even if it is just for one day.
